Introduction to Caricature

The permanent exhibition presents the history of caricatures as it unfolds through key events in human history. From the time of the Pharaohs through Ancient Greece to modern times. This chronology is arranged in a series of visual links that allow visitors to explore and discover what Gulliver’s Tales have to do with Napoleon and what the Bastria monster has to do with Bart Simpson’s three-eyed fish.
The exhibition stands in the museums orientation gallery and constitutes an entrance to the world of caricatures, comics and animation.
